Kung Fu Panda 3

81D-TB8vlpL._SL1500_Aside from being surprisingly good movies (and along with How To Train Your Dragon one of the few really good things to come out of DreamWorks Animation), the Kung Fu Panda pictures have always had fine scores, so it's not a massive shock that KFP3 keeps this up. This time it's Hans Zimmer going solo, with John Powell off doing symphonies and what have you, but there's not a massive change and it still sounds consistent with the previous scores. Old themes meld well with new (the wonderfully ethereal Oogway's Theme is still my favourite) and it has the familiar meld of orchestral splendour with a dose of power anthem. Just make sure you stop the album before the two dreadful renditions of 'Kung Fu Fighting' at the end. -CB Kung Fu Panda 3 is out now from Sony Classical
