Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn

By Charlie Brigden tomsawyer

Title: Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn

Composer: Robert Gulya

The Film: Another in a long line of adaptations from the work of Mark Twain.

The Score: Big, bold, and brassy, but with a beautiful spiritual centre of Americana. Stirring and beautifully written in a more classical style, this is wonderful, wonderful music.

Distinguishing Features: The stirring 'Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn', the thrilling banjo-infused 'Muff Has Escaped', the tense 'The Barn'.

Final Thoughts: Out of nowhere, this is a fantastic score. With a great Western feel, it has exhilaration written all over it. Wonderful.

Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn is out now on CD and digital from MovieScore Media.
