Musings About Music In Film

The Paradise

By Charlie Brigden

Department stores are never the most exciting things, but you could do worse than put Maurizio Malagnini's score to BBC miniseries THE PARADISE on your iPod while trudging around John Lewis. Another period tale set in the first department store in the North of England, this is fantastic music with a lovely classical tone and enough brightness to put a shine in your step that would shame Mary Poppins. Brilliant, brilliant stuff.
